Shapeshifter + Netsky with Sunshine Sound System

Summer is synonymous with Shapeshifter in our fair country, and with good reason.

The band have been delivering the goods around New Zealand almost every summer since 2009 – a tradition that brings their stadium soul-infused drum & bass sound to green fields in iconic holiday destinations across the country.

This January, the band returns for three parties, in three picturesque settings, in close proximity to three different bodies of water – by the river in Riwaka, on the shores of Lake Hawea and next to the beach at Whangamata.

Belgian Hospital Records alumni Netsky will be joining the boys on the road. A festival favourite, this drum & bass DJ and producer is sure to serve up a set that’s hot as the sun.

PLUS Shapeshifter’s brothers-in-arms Sunshine Sound System have been added to the line-up, well-equipped to fire up the joint with their tried and true party-starting mix of MC-ing, dancehall, reggae and hip hop.

Tue 2nd Jan - Cooks Reserve, Riwaka

Thu 4th Jan - Lake Hawea Hotel, Hawea

Sun 6th Jan - Williamson Park, Whangamata**

**WHANGAMATA 6TH JAN – SPECIAL GUESTS**

P-Money, Yoko-Zuna & Bailey Wiley

Whangamata on the 6th of January is shaping up to be the beach party to end all beach parties, with some extra special guests added to the fold –

Legendary hip-hop DJ and producer P-Money is an award-winning turntablist, and the man behind some of our biggest hits of the millennium including ‘Everything’ feat. Vince Harder and Scribe’s ‘Not Many’. P-Money celebrated 20 years in the game this year with his latest smash success ‘Call on Me’ by Starley (co-written and produced by Money) landing platinum certification in nine countries.

With jazz school training and electronic leanings, Yoko-Zuna have forged a progressive sound that pushes the boundaries of hip hop, gaining themselves an A-list of collaborators including David Dallas, Tom Scott and the man P-Digsss himself.

Whiskey and honey-voiced Bailey Wiley flawlessly blends 90s RnB grind with futuristic production from the likes of Eno, Soraya and Yoko-Zuna – this RedBull Soundselect alumni is truly on the rise.

In short, Shapeshifter are treating Whangamata to a seriously stacked line-up this summer – don’t miss out!
