US indie legend Bob Mould will perform his first New Zealand shows in 22 years, confirmed for November 2024.
The singer / guitarist will perform material from across his entire career, including tracks from Hüsker Dü, Sugar, and his considerable solo catalogue.
Bob Mould’s tour also places the spotlight on his latest album, the acclaimed Blue Hearts and box set Distortion: 1989-2019 - chronicling his solo career and work in the band Sugar over 18 studio albums, 4 live albums, and 2 albums of rarities and collaborations.
Mould’s first band Hüsker Dü also recently released Tonite Longhorn, a double-disc set of rare live recordings from the legendary band’s embryonic on-stage beginnings. Drawn from the historical Hüsker Dü recording archives compiled by late sound engineer Terry Katzman, the album collects 28 explosive tracks captured over four different nights between July 1979 and September 1980 at Minneapolis, MN’s notorious Longhorn Bar.
Of his upcoming New Zealand tour, Mould says, "It has been so long since I travelled to New Zealand for concerts, and I can’t wait to reconnect with everyone, when I play songs from the past, present, and future."
