Saturday, Doors open at 7:00pm

Fokofpolisiekar was formed in 2003 when a group of friends from Bellville (South Africa) decided to start an Afrikaans rock band. In the 14 years since their inception, they have reached cult status in their home country and Fokofpolisiekar has become a household name. They are known for their explosive live performances and through their controversial and ever-questioning lyrics have generated much controversy in the South African media. In contrast to this Fokofpolisiekar has, however, garnered accolades from the Afrikaans literary community for the powerful conveyance of their intelligent, poetic and honest-to-the-bone lyrics.

Jack Parow is a South African rapper, singer, and songwriter famous for blending traditional Afrikaans music with modern hip-hop, known for his "dangerous romantic" style and the iconic long cap he wears. After a breakthrough in 2009 with the hit single "Cooler as Ekke" and subsequent collaboration with Die Heuwels Fantasties, Parow released his self-titled debut album and became a globally touring, platinum-selling artist with a distinct Afrikaans lyrical style.
