Craig Robinson is best known to Australian and New Zealand audiences through his numerous and highly regarded comedy appearances and comedic acting roles in film and television over several years. This is his eagerly awaited first Australia & New Zealand tour.
Best known for his role as Darryl Philbin in the Emmy Award winning USA version of The Office Craig has also appeared in hilarious films such as Hot Tub Machine produced by and co-starring John Cusack, Pineapple Express alongside Seth Rogen and James Franco and Zack and Miri Make a Porno with Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks. Craig has also provided voiceovers in the animated feature movies including Escape from the Planet Earth and the final film in the Shrek franchise, Shrek Forever After. Craig’s additional film credits include The Goods with Jeremy Piven, Miss March, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story and Tyler Perry’s Daddys Little Girl. Later this year Craig will star in a lead role in a new comedy We the Peeples produced by Tyler Perry. Television appearances include The Jimmy Kimmel Show, Real Time with Bill Maher. Friends, The Bernie Mac Show and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
As a stand up comedian, Chicago born Craig first made his mark in the comedy circuit at the 1998 Montreal Just For Laughs festival. He soon went on to perform his act on The Jimmy Kimmel Show and Real Time with Bill Maher. Now headlining venues and festivals across the US, he does both solo acts we well as full band sets tying together his lyrical comedy with his accomplished skills at the keyboard. Whether Craig shows up with just his keyboard or a with his seven-man band, the clubs are packed to the brim with Craig receiving raucous laughter in response to his musical comedy genius.
