Gerrard Allman Events presents

Victor Wooten and the Wooten Brothers

Get ready as 5-time Grammy winner Victor Wooten and The Wooten Brothers bring the funk to the Powerstation.

Known as “the Michael Jordan of the bass”, Victor has been called one of the most fearless musicians of the planet.

The Wooten brothers have been making music together since they could walk. Victor, the youngest, was taught by big brother Regi to play bass when he was just two! Regi himself, was a well-seasoned ten.

That training led to Victor becoming a founding member of Bela Fleck and The Flecktones along with a solo career yielding 5 Grammys and a membership is the bass-playing supergroup SMV with Stanley Clarke and Marcus Miller.

Rolling Stone Magazine has ranked Victor among the top 10 bass players of all time.

His reputation has led to invitations to record and perform with the likes of Bootsy Collins, Branford Marsalis, Keb’ Mo’ and Chic Corea.

It is a rare thing when talent this huge can be seen at a venue this intimate.

Also on board is brother Roy, aka Futureman, on drums, brother Joseph, who also plays keys in The Steve Miller Band, and brother Regi…the teacher…on guitar (sax-playing brother Rudy, who died in 2010, will be there in spirit).

They started as kids playing with soul legends like Curtis Mayfield, War and The Temptations. And they are still going strong. Its time to get down…and get funky with Victor Wooten and The Wooten Brothers!
